You Never Win by Giving In’ were words that Elsie (my husbands nan) lived by, she lived a rich and amazing life – 98 years in all! This motto was born of a long inspirational life full of both Joy and hardship.
Despite her humble beginnings, the loss of close ones earlier in her life, living through the London Blitz in the Second World War and a breast cancer survivor (she had so many stories to tell! ) This motto pulled her through harder times, her resilience and strength was so great that throughout her life she was able to gift hope and warmth to others, not just as a mother and matriarch to her family but also as a Samaritan, long standing church member and spiritualist healer.
