Kelly is an artist/illustrator from Hertfordshire and the creator of the A-Z colouring series of books, her work is intricate and detailed, inspired by the natural world and also the make believe.
Kelly first graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a Bachelor of Arts in 3D Modelling and Animation; from here she continued her studies with a Masters Degree in Digital Practices in Design, graduating in 2004.
However it was after graduation that a desire to escape the computer and return to hand drawn imagery, led her to restart her journey as a visual artist.
“As long as I can remember I have always enjoyed creating, it makes me happy! I remember as a child, pausing the video recorder to try and draw my favourite characters from cartoons (fraggles and muppet babies) making all sorts of things from board games to greetings cards and drawing on almost anything.
I’ve followed the art path in one form or another since school, tried all sorts of different creative practices, learning lots along the way. I kept the things that inspired me most and applied that to my own work. There’s still loads of inspiration out there and much more to learn, thats what I love about art and creativity, it never gets boring, it’s a journey!”
Aside from Painting and exhibiting her work, Kelly is the creator of a series of Colouring books for Adults and Children which she demonstrates and sells on television, she is currently working on another book due for release this year.
